A Tier 1 utility provider faced a significant integration obstacle: how to modernise and unify operations across Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Customer Engagement—while still relying on a patchwork of legacy, on-premise systems including HR, IoT, GIS, and finance.

The customer’s IT team had strict policies preventing inbound firewall access, making conventional integration approaches infeasible. As a result, critical data remained siloed, and real-time visibility across systems was impossible. Without a secure way to bridge cloud and on-premise platforms, operational continuity and compliance were at risk.

Solution

We deployed VeriConnect®, our secure, agent-based integration solution, purpose-built to operate entirely from within the client’s internal network.

This allowed the customer to establish real-time, bi-directional data synchronisation without opening a single inbound port.

The implementation included:

  • High-volume, real-time message flow between Dynamics 365 and legacy systems

  • Alarm-to-work order conversion, pushing IoT triggers directly into FO for scheduling

  • Leave synchronisation between HR and Field Service planning

  • Data routing into executive dashboards for compliance, performance, and audit use

All integration pipelines were configured with retry, queuing, and audit trails, ensuring no data loss or silent failures.
