Octavia Housing Association is a not-for-profit housing and care provider managing over 5,000 affordable homes across Central and West London. Founded on the pioneering work of Victorian philanthropist Octavia Hill, the organisation provides affordable housing, sheltered accommodation, care services, and community support programmes.
Veriland Consulting delivered a two-part transformation for Octavia: upgrading their ageing Dynamics CRM 8.0 environment to the latest Dynamics 365 Customer Service platform, and building a resident-facing mobile application that gives tenants self-service access to rent accounts, repair requests, personal details, and communications — all securely integrated with D365 in real time.
Octavia Housing was operating on Microsoft Dynamics CRM 8.0 — a legacy version that was limiting both internal operations and the resident experience.

Veriland upgraded Octavia's CRM from version 8.0 to the latest Dynamics 365 Customer Service release. The migration included data migration, customisation refactoring, workflow modernisation, and user retraining. The upgraded platform provides unified case management, enhanced reporting, and native Power Platform integration.
To bridge the mobile application with Dynamics 365 securely and without impacting CRM performance, Veriland deployed its VeriConnect and VeriHousing solutions. Built on Azure Service Fabric, Azure API Management, and Azure Cache for Redis, this middleware layer provides fast, reliable, and secure API access to CRM data — with caching, rate limiting, and data filtering that ensures only authorised resident-specific information is exposed.

The entire solution was designed with GDPR compliance at its core. Data minimisation principles ensure that only the information necessary for each API call is returned to the mobile app. Consent management, data subject access request workflows, and right-to-erasure capabilities were built into both the CRM and the middleware layer.
